Continuous Improvement Manager

A leading protein-processing company is seeking a hands-on Continuous Improvement professional to improve performance at a veal and lamb processing facility. This individual-contributor role will focus on increasing throughput, improving yield, reducing waste, optimizing labor productivity, and eliminating production bottlenecks. This is not a desk-based analytics or project management position. The successful candidate will spend most of the day on the production floor, using data to identify opportunities and working directly with plant teams to implement sustainable improvements. What You'll Do Analyze throughput, yield, OEE, capacity, labor, and material-loss data Identify and eliminate the plant's largest operational losses Improve yield and raw-material utilization Reduce waste, giveaway, and processing losses Identify production bottlenecks and improve process flow Increase line capacity and overall plant productivity Lead root cause analysis for recurring performance issues Validate opportunities directly on the production floor Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Safety Influence operators and plant leadership without direct authority What You'll Bring Direct experience in meat, poultry, beef, pork, lamb, veal, or protein processing Experience in harvest, slaughter, fabrication, deboning, further processing, or ready-to-eat meat operations Proven results improving throughput, yield, labor productivity, or waste Strong production-floor presence and hands-on operating style Experience using Lean manufacturing and root cause analysis tools Ability to work cross-functionally without direct reporting authority Comfort working extensively in a refrigerated facility maintained around 35 to 40°F Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Why This Role Direct influence on plant performance and profitability High visibility with senior organizational leadership Opportunity to lead improvements from analysis through implementation Broad impact across throughput, yield, labor, waste, and capacity Individual-contributor position without direct reports Potential relocation assistance Stable opportunity within an established protein-processing organization #J-18808-Ljbffr DSJ Global
