Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, implementing effective HR strategies, and ensuring strict compliance with labor laws. As a one-person HR department, this role requires a proactive, hands‑on leader who can seamlessly manage day‑to‑day administrative workflows, handle employee relations, support leadership, and manage daily follow‑up for safety compliance documentation across both our office and production teams. Key Responsibilities Core HR Operations Handle all daily HR administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate employee files, updating job descriptions, executing employee handbook updates, and ensuring absolute data integrity. Manage benefits administration, timekeeping, payroll processes, unemployment claims, and leave of absence (LOA/FMLA) tracking. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate interviews, job offers, and structured new‑hire onboarding. Manage the full offboarding lifecycle, including conducting exit interviews, processing terminations, documenting separation agreements, and managing the transition seamlessly to protect company compliance. Audit, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with company goals. Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing legal compliance. Employee Relations & Leadership Support Foster a thriving workplace culture by serving as a trusted partner in resolving employee concerns and driving solutions‑oriented outcomes. Monitor and manage workforce performance through structured performance management processes, while tracking HR metrics (turnover, attendance trends) to provide data‑driven guidance to leadership. Provide ongoing guidance, best practices, and coaching to managers to ensure company policies, training programs, and operational goals are implemented consistently. Design and implement ongoing employee training and development programs to support team growth and operational efficiency. Oversee and manage the employee disciplinary process, including conducting investigations, drafting corrective action documentation, and guiding managers on consistent policy enforcement. Safety Compliance Facilitate safety training during onboarding, ensuring all new hires meet certification standards before entering production. Administer employee tool and PPE assignments during onboarding and maintain accountability records. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and workers' compensation claims management. Oversee the collection and auditing of safety documentation. Qualifications Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial, or fast‑paced operational environment. Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in HRIS/Payroll systems (e.g., ADP or similar) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Proven ability to handle sensitive personnel situations and legal compliance with confidentiality and professionalism. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Familiarity with safety training and workers' comp management is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
