Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher near Boulder, CO. This full-time contract opportunity allows you to make a difference within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Working with a classroom of 10 students, you’ll receive essential support from peer mentors, two full-time paraeducators, and a dedicated team including a BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and psychologist/social worker. The assignment runs through May 21, 2027, providing a blend of stability and meaningful experience.

Qualifications:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or in the process of obtaining one (candidates not signing TEE only considered)
• At least one year of classroom experience in special education
• Flexible, collaborative approach with a strong team orientation

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students with a variety of needs, ensuring each receives appropriate support
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other educators to create a safe and structured learning environment
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain clear communication with families, sharing progress and strategies
• Contribute to a culture of inclusion and encourage peer mentorship

This position offers a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (with 35 hours paid). Compensation ranges from $40 to $44 per hour on a W2 contract. Comprehensive health insurance is available for eligible candidates.
