Construction Quality Control Supervisor

Position Overview Join our committed team in supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with crucial construction projects. Serco is leading initiatives to renovate the Power Building (J-Plant) to align with High Altitude Electro Magnetic Pulse (HEMP) protective standards. As the Construction Quality Control Supervisor, your expertise will be essential in establishing and managing quality control protocols throughout the construction process. This role requires you to have an active DoD Secret security clearance. This position operates year-round with a current rotation of 3 months on-site and 1 month away. Key Responsibilities Assist in generating, reviewing, and submitting all required project documentation in the Resident Management System (RMS). Prepare USACE and Serco quality control documents, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing work performed and testing results. Identify and report any non‑compliance issues with project specifications and drawings, adhering to USACE and Serco quality management plans. Conduct daily quality inspections following EM 385-1-1, quality processes, and contractor quality control plans. Continuously assess the contractor quality control plan and recommend necessary updates for government approval. Coordinate crucial inspections as specified in project documentation. Engage in quality control activities throughout the three phases of work: preparatory, initial, and follow‑up. Oversee quality assessments of significant work operations during scheduled shifts. Participate in pre‑construction conferences and project meetings to ensure consistent application of quality standards. Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management; or a high school diploma/GED with at least five years of relevant experience. Minimum of one year of experience in a Quality Control Manager role. Completion of the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working 10‑hour shifts with extensive walking on job sites. Willingness to travel over 90% of the time. Valid U.S. passport required (must have more than six months until expiration). Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Desired Skills and Experience Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements and experience in hazard identification and compliance. Experience in remote locations similar to Pituffik Space Base. Prior experience with USACE projects is a plus. Knowledge of HEMP hardening or similar protective measures.
