Department Overview

Marshfield Children's Hospital features a Level I, eight-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for critically injured or seriously ill patients, ranging from newborns to adolescents up to 19 years old. With over 50 years of expertise in pediatric care, we have established a strong reputation for delivering advanced and compassionate treatment to our most vulnerable patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking positive, compassionate, and dedicated registered nurses (RNs) who can deliver the high-quality care that our patients and their families expect. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate patient care, including assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide empathetic care to patients throughout all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Demonstrate nursing competency and utilize comprehensive expertise.

Qualifications

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, such as those recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred.

Candidates must hold an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where they will practice, or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. It is essential to obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
