Role Description The Restaurant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations. This role leads and develops the team, ensures outstanding guest experiences, and maintains a culture aligned with Kapow’s values of integrity, authenticity, and serving with purpose. Key responsibilities include managing staffing levels and scheduling, supervising front- and back-of-house performance, and ensuring consistent execution of service and culinary standards. The General Manager will monitor financial performance, control costs, and drive revenue through effective P&L oversight, budgeting, and local marketing initiatives. Additional duties include enforcing safety and sanitation standards, resolving guest issues, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements. Qualifications Strong financial acumen, including experience with P&L management and budgeting to optimize profitability and control costs. Proven commitment to guest experience, with skills in customer satisfaction and customer service to foster repeat business and positive reviews. Demonstrated expertise in hiring, onboarding, and developing team members, including performance management and coaching. Leadership experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with the ability to motivate diverse teams and maintain high operational standards. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on collaborative teamwork. Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and experience maintaining compliant, efficient operations. Proficiency with POS systems, basic office software, and operational reporting tools. 3+ years of general management experience in full-service restaurants or hospitality; supervisory experience in multi-unit or concept-driven environments is a plus.
