Commercial HVAC Estimator – New Construction
Location: Houston, TX Compensation: $50,000 – $75,000/year + Mileage Reimbursement Schedule: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire (6 months)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial HVAC Estimator with a strong background in new construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of industry experience and a proven ability to accurately estimate mechanical scopes for commercial developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare competitive and accurate estimates for commercial HVAC projects ranging from $100,000 to $3,000,000.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other project documentation to develop full-scope estimates.
- Collaborate with internal teams and subcontractors to gather pricing and negotiate costs.
- Bid on a variety of projects including emergency rooms, hotels, churches, and other commercial buildings.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and support project transitions to execution teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC estimating, specifically in new construction (residential experience will not be considered).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building codes, and construction documents.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Project management experience is a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
