Metrology Technician - Medical Device R&D

Location: Wyomissing, Pennsylvania

Job type: Six-month contract to hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Overtime: Approximately 5-10 hours per week may be available.

Pay: $25 / hour

We are seeking a Metrology Technician to support an R&D lab focused primarily on catheter and tooling development. This person will use vision measurement systems to complete requests from engineers, develop measurement routines for operators, and help transfer established routines to manufacturing facilities.

• Operate Keyence and OGP vision measurement systems to inspect components and collect measurement data.
• Program measurement methods and routines that operators can use consistently.
• Develop and document routines for long-term use at sister manufacturing facilities.
• Respond to urgent measurement requests from engineers and communicate progress with the project team.
• Support additional measurement needs from the tool room and laboratory teams.
• Maintain accurate records and follow quality system requirements throughout the measurement process.

• Strong experience in metrology, measurement techniques, and calibration.
• Hands-on experience operating vision measurement systems and programming measurement routines.
• Ability to work within a regulated quality system, such as ISO 13485 or a comparable standard.
• Experience with Keyence or OGP equipment and software is strongly preferred.
• Medical device or medtech experience is preferred, especially in an R&D environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities.
