Overview Manager I – Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) – Registration Processing Unit Location: DMV Headquarters, Sacramento, California. Salary: $5,237.00 – $6,550.00 per month (minimum and maximum for full‑time appointment). Responsibilities Direct overall activities and functions of the Registration Processing Section. Supervise staff, oversee business operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain system and document security, ensuring nightly office closure procedures are completed (locking cabinets, securing keys, shutting down equipment). Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance office efficiency and service quality. Minimum Requirements Full‑time, permanent position. Eligibility for appointment, including required background investigation clearance. Authorisation to work in United States. Experience and education that demonstrate meeting the classification specifications. Desired Qualifications Decision‑making, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, supervisory, problem‑solving, and team‑building skills. Knowledge of vehicle registration processes and strong customer‑service orientation. Proficiency with PC applications (Microsoft Office). Experience in training, planning, and organizing. Working Conditions High‑wall workstation in a climate‑controlled office environment. Regular work hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
