Capital One is seeking a customer service-oriented Vulnerability Remediation Engineer to provide technical support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. You will be primarily responsible for resolving software vulnerability issues on employee endpoints using basic and advanced troubleshooting techniques. The goal is to make sure that security is maintained to the standards set forth by the company. You will be solving unique problems in an ever-changing support environment using multiple support tools & methods.

Responsibilities:

• Provide endpoint vulnerability remediation support using various tools and techniques to remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities

• Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to calls received to the Capital One Service Desk

• Interact with end users via soft phone or chat modules to resolve desktop vulnerabilities

• Remotely access and support end-user machines to achieve first call resolution

• Utilize Service Now as the ticketing tool to track and escalate incidents for end users

• Participate in projects and program initiatives within the team

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

• At least 1 year of remote help desk support experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience

• Mac Integration Basics Certificate or 1 + year of equivalent Mac support experience

• Windows 11 Certificate or 1+ years of equivalent Windows OS support experience

• 2+ years of end-user support experience

• 1+ years experience with ServiceNow

• ITIL Certification

• 1+ years of experience with Vulnerability Assessment tools (Qualys, Rapid7, Crowdstrike, BeyondTrust)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $80,100 - $91,400 for Associate, Support Operations Plano, TX: $72,800 - $83,100 for Associate, Support Operations Richmond, VA: $72,800 - $83,100 for Associate, Support Operations Wilmington, DE: $72,800 - $83,100 for Associate, Support Operations

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
