Tool & Die Repair Technician

Our Detroit-based automotive stamping plant is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Repair Technician to join our team. Core Responsibilities Execute repairs and routine maintenance on stamping dies. Conduct necessary adjustments and repairs directly within the press. Diagnose and resolve complex tooling and die malfunctions. Utilize welding, grinding, and fitting techniques to restore tooling components. Support the team during die tryouts and address ongoing production challenges. Interpret technical blueprints and utilize precision measurement instruments. Collaborate with production and tool room personnel to maximize press uptime. Required Qualifications Proven background in tool and die repair. Prior experience in an automotive stamping setting is advantageous. Advanced mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities. Practical skills in welding and grinding processes. Demonstrated ability to perform repairs while dies are in the press. Familiarity with Class A dies is considered a benefit. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production stamping environment. Compensation The hourly rate for this position is $40. #J-18808-Ljbffr
