Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being through structured interviews and standardized tools.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs, aspirations, and treatment goals.

• Provide individual therapy sessions addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

• Facilitate couples therapy aimed at enhancing communication skills, conflict resolution, and relationship satisfaction.

• Ongoing evaluation of treatment efficacy by adjusting plans based on clients' progress and feedback.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and documentation compliant with state regulations.

• Engage in collaborative interdisciplinary care, sharing insights and strategies with other health professionals when necessary to optimize client outcomes.

• Respond to crisis situations with timely intervention and support strategies to ensure client safety and stability.
\n
• Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and emerging research relevant to marriage and family therapy.

• Follow ethical guidelines set forth by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and other governing bodies to uphold client confidentiality and integrity.

• Promote client engagement in their own treatment processes, fostering informed decision-making and advocacy for their mental health needs.

• Encourage self-care among clients and model these practices to enhance personal resilience against burnout.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline is required.

• An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist from the State Board of Texas.

• Strong proficiency in clinical assessment and timely documentation of treatment progress.

Compensation and Benefits\n
