At Convergent Energy and Power our mission is to make the electrical grid cleaner more reliable and less expensive by leveraging state-of-the-art energy storage and distributed generation technologies.

We are considering both Analyst and Senior Analyst levels for this opening.

The Senior Analyst Analytics plays a leading role in evaluating Convergents energy storage solutions for utilities and end-use customers in your specialized market. This role will ensure projects are economically viable and competitive. This role will drive the financial performance of projects and collaborate closely with the Project Development and Sales teams to optimize product offerings. This role will directly support the strategic growth of Convergents energy storage portfolio.

This is an individual contributor role and therefore does not have any direct reports but will exercise informal mentorship and guidance to junior level staff (i.e. provide QA/QC of models or lead trainings).

What Youll Do

Financial Modeling and Analysis (70%)

oPrepare and analyze financial models to evaluate the economic feasibility of energy storage and solar-plus-storage projects.

oMaintain and update standard financial models and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

oSupport Business Development and Project Development teams by providing accurate financial and operational data for decision-making.

Market Research and Strategic Insights (20%)

oAssist with market research including the collection and interpretation of data related to tariffs regulations and market trends.

oCommunicate findings and insights effectively to internal stakeholders.

Process Improvement and Ad Hoc Support (10%)

oContribute to ad hoc projects to support the teams evolving needs.

Required Qualifications

oBachelors degree in finance business economics STEM or a related quantitative field.

oAnalyst: No years of experience are required post grad

oSenior Analyst: 1-3 years of experience in a finance or analytical role preferably in renewable energy.

oAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling.

oAbility to analyze and work with large datasets.

oBasic understanding of discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and financial principles.

oAbility to identify and resolve straightforward issues in financial and operational modeling.

oStrong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in deliverables.

oAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

oStrong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings.

oCapacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

oProactive approach to managing assigned responsibilities.

oAlignment with Convergents mission values and a strong interest in the Clean Energy Transition.

o8% travel expected primarily for team events and company-wide meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

oExperience with energy markets including storage and renewable energy projects.

oExperience with financial modeling and discounted cash-flow analysis.

oFamiliarity with statistical or analytical tools (e.g. Python R).

Analyst: Base Salary Range: $70000 - $85000; Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.

Senior Analyst: Base Salary Range: $85000 - $100000; Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
