Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Mercy (MO).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year Med Surg, inpatient only.

Special Requests: Blocked scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements. RTO of 5 days or less must make up the week on the back end. Holiday RTO: can request only 1 per assignment.

Unit Details: 3 West General Surgery med-surg unit caring for oncology, neuro surgical recovery, post-trauma, post-surgical, and medical comorbidity patients. Surgical patient population includes GI, GU, plastics, and overflow ortho. Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on day shift, 1:6-7 on night shift. Ratios are not guaranteed; careful consideration is given depending on the circumstance. Uses Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend as required by facility. No call. Night shift orients on day shift. Must be available the entire week for orientation.

Floating Requirements: May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 09/07/2026, 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 12/31/2026, 01/01/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
