Occupational Therapist School Setting - Middletown, DE

Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
Valid OT license (or eligibility to obtain) for the state
Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Passion for working with elementary-aged children and supporting their developmental needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
Assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies that address fine motor, sensory-motor, visual-perceptual, and self-care skills
Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and family members to ensure cohesive, effective interventions
Offer training and resources for school staff to support inclusive practices within the classroom
