Event Services Production Coordinator

* Serve as the primary on-site production lead for assigned events, overseeing load-in, setup, execution, strike, and post-event reset.* Interpret event specifications from EMS and ensure accurate implementation of all logistical and technical requirements.* Support advanced production planning for commencement, lectures, ceremonies, conferences, and institutional programs.* Conduct pre-event walkthroughs to confirm readiness, equipment functionality, and safety compliance.* Meet with clients to determine event goals, staging needs, sound reinforcement, lighting, livestreaming, and specialty equipment requirements.* Translate client needs into detailed production plans and technical layouts.* Provide consultation on best practices for event flow, audience engagement, and technical feasibility.* Ensure all production activities comply with university safety standards, fire codes, and ADA requirements.* Assist in emergency response procedures including event shutdown and evacuation coordination.* Promote safe equipment handling and power distribution practices.* Participate in team meetings and contribute to workflow and service improvements.* Collaborate with campus partners to enhance event quality and operational sustainability.* Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental goals and university priorities.* **Education and Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
