Clinical Billing Specialist - Medicaid Skilled Nursing experience in Long-Term Care is required — specifically looking for someone who has worked in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting. The Clinical Billing Specialist will be based at the Corporate Office in Casselberry, Florida — this is an office-based position in Casselberry Join Southern Healthcare Management and make an impact behind the scenes! Southern Healthcare Management is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Billing Specialist to join our Corporate Finance team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of resident account transactions across our skilled nursing facilities. What You’ll Do Review and process facility refund requests, ensuring accuracy of account information and compliance with company policies. Verify and enter account adjustment requests into PointClickCare. Process bad debt and reimbursable bad debt postings. Credentialing/Recredentialing of Insurance Providers. Conduct Patient Trust reconciliation audits. Review and process adjustments for various clearing accounts. Prepare financial reports as needed. Review payer aging reports weekly and identify discrepancies. Provide support and guidance to corporate, regional, and facility staff regarding PointClickCare financial processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Qualifications Experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, accounts receivable, or long-term care finance preferred. Working knowledge of PointClickCare is highly preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Four to six years experience in long term care or health care. Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, third party guidelines, reimbursement practices, and available financial resources for the funding of long-term care.
