Facility Integrity Specialist

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Basic Function HF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Facilty Integrity Specialist. This position is open to locations of Artesia, NM, Albuquerque, NM, or Glendale, AZ. This position supports continued development and implementation of the Integrity Management Program and conducts high-level assignments and duties for the Integrity Management Department independently. May direct or lead the work of others from time to time. Job Duties (functions considered essential as defined by ADA) Collects, integrates and analyzes technical data and information associated with Risk and Integrity assessments and inspections Ability to select and implement NDE and Direct Inspection Methods. Knowledge of Industry codes and standards Thorough knowledge of Piping system codes and standards Thorough knowledge of mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, P&ID’s Knowledge of integrity failure mechanisms Ability to identify potential risks associated with piping systems, components and equipment. Works directly with field personnel to ensure appropriate documentation of inspection results Manages and tracks facility integrity project schedules and status Develops technical solutions and process improvements in conjunction with management Creates project plans, process maps, schedules, cost estimates, and participates in the development, implementation and training of standards, specifications and procedures Interfaces with all parts of the organization involved with Integrity Management activities, including vendors and contractors Provides training for inexperienced personnel as needed Manages field projects associated with facility inspections and assessments which include data collection, analysis, coordination of resources and technology utilization Supports and coordinates technology development for inspection and integrity data management (e.g. Autocad, GIS, Non-Destructive Examination, Corrosion Monitoring) Maintains and gains knowledge and understanding of current practices and news related to technologies, compliance, and regulations Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion. Experience A minimum of eight year’s Plant, Terminal, and above Ground Storage Tank experience directly related to inspections, repairs and mechanical integrity program requirements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in Corrosion control methods, Risk Management, NDE, and Information Data Management Systems (PCMS). A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree Engineering or related technical discipline. Certifications in API 570, API 510 or AMPP CIP Level 2. Certification in lieu of a degree, is required. Required Skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Effective problem solver and troubleshooter; good analytical and abstract thinker and ability to use evaluation techniques. Strong technical and project management. Proficient in the use of Autocad drawings, P&ID’s. Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access, Word, Project, Visio. Working knowledge of GIS. Advanced working knowledge of design, construction and operation of crude oil, refined products and gas facilities. Thorough knowledge of Industry codes and regulations required by PHMSA §195 and 192. Ability to process information quickly and develop rapport with HollyFrontier employees and contractors. Active member in NACE and API. The ability to effectively communicate to others, both written and verbal; intermediate reading and writing skills; and the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.

PREFERRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Understanding of inspection techniques and results; understanding of corrosion prevention methods and Risk Management principles; proven ability to utilize data management systems with an interest in technology solutions. Experience with PCMS IDMS. Certification in API 570. Other API certifications of interest are CWI, CIP Level 2, API 1169, API 510, and data analysis are preferred. May lead the work of others as needed. Work Conditions Office based with up to 50% travel by land or air is required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant based, and out-of-doors environment including, but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment and working in confined spaces. Required to work in all temperatures including outdoors. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.
