Industrial Maintenance Technician (Night Shift 12 Hour Shift)

Are you an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician? Join us in Cheektowaga, NY. We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician for a 12‑hour shift from 6PM to 6AM, 2 days on and 2 days off. The successful candidate must be willing to train on 1st shift for one month from 7AM to 3PM. Pay Range: $35 per hour or more, depending on experience. Plus 3rd shift differential of $1.50 per hour. Sign‑on Bonus: $2,000 sign‑on bonus is available with this position for an external candidate hire. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Paid parental leave Life Insurance Generous 401(k) company match Paid vacation after 60 days 11 paid holidays Tool Allowance Paid Lunch Break Safety shoe and glasses allotment Generous employee referral program ProAmpac’s Employee Assistance Fund And much more Position Overview Effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment and adhere to maintenance documentation requirements Actively engage in workplace safety improvement initiatives Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs Repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment in order to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs Record repairs and maintenance performed Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment Order parts and supplies as needed Job Requirements High school or equivalent education Minimum of 5 years of machine repair and industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing setting Strong preference for advanced skills in both machine repair and PLC control systems repair and maintenance Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose machine problems Excellent communication, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills to coordinate schedules with machine operators and troubleshoot problems Computer skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word) Ability to work overtime as needed Knowledge of flexographic presses is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
