Senior Financial Systems & Data Analyst

About the OpportunityKilroy Realty Corporation is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Systems & Data Analyst to serve as the bridge between Finance, Accounting, and Information Technology. This role will own the integrity of critical financial and operational data across Yardi and Argus, while helping advance Kilroy's long-term data strategy.The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with advanced technical skills, exercises sound judgment, and enjoys solving complex data problems. This role will lead efforts to improve forecasting accuracy, enhance reporting capabilities, support system implementations, and establish finance as a trusted source of data across the organization. This position will report to the Vice President, FP&A.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Systems & Data GovernanceOwn and administer key financial planning and operational data within Yardi and Argus.Lead recurring reconciliations between Yardi, Argus, and FP&A reporting models.Investigate root causes of data discrepancies, coordinate resolution, and establish controls to improve data integrity.Accounting & CAM ReconciliationsPartner with Accounting to lead the monthly reconciliation of Common Area Maintenance (CAM) setups and recoveries in Argus.Review tenant charge structures and lease data to ensure consistency between lease documents and system records, and resolve identified exceptions.Lead process improvement initiatives that reduce manual reconciliation effort and strengthen data controls.Business Intelligence & Data ModelingPartner with IT and business stakeholders to lead the development of data warehouses, reporting solutions, and analytical tools.Define finance data requirements, business rules, validation criteria, and reporting standards.Develop advanced SQL queries and perform data validation to support reporting and analytics initiatives.Develop and maintain reusable SQL queries for ad hoc and recurring information requests.Create and enhance dashboards and recurring reports to support forecasting and performance management.System Enhancements & TestingAct as finance lead for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on data models, system changes, integrations, and upgrades.Develop testing plans, document requirements and expected results, execute test scripts, manage identified issues, and coordinate business validation.Lead ongoing process automation and workflow improvements, including assessment of downstream reporting and control impacts.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial systems, business intelligence, or data analytics.Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to develop and troubleshoot queries used for analysis and recurring reporting.Experience with Yardi or similar ERP systems.Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities, including experience reconciling large or complex datasets.Excellent problem-solving, project coordination, and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to work independently and communicate recommendations clearly.PreferredExperience with Argus Enterprise.Commercial real estate, publicly traded REIT, or property management experience.Understanding of lease administration, CAM recoveries, real estate accounting, and financial reporting controls.What we offerAt Kilroy, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within the role. The base pay range for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000 and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
