Lead the US Medical Affairs headquarters and field organizations across all tumor areas Lead a team to envision a future state of medicine within oncology and treatment in the United States Innovate and execute within the medical affairs organization to meet that vision Represent the major oncology market on the Oncology Chief Oncology Officer Leadership Team Collaborate with global oncology activities as part of OMALT Develop and coach medical affairs colleagues to ensure leading performance across the U.S. Develop a US Medical Affairs strategy aligned with global medical strategy, clinical development, and commercial priorities Create Medical Affairs Strategy & Plans for oncology assets, including ISR strategy and data generation and dissemination plans Build strong external engagement and opinion leader relationships Support clinical development strategy and execution with global, regional, medical, clinical, publications, patient health and impact, and commercial stakeholders Support global asset lifecycle plans and strategies Provide input on regional treatment paradigms and competitor activity Support commercial teams in reflecting product attributes, projected treatment paradigms, and unmet medical needs Ensure adherence to global publication policies and procedures Focus on patient experience and outcomes Build regional medical budget and ensure spend is on target Travel approximately 30% within the US Requirements MD or PharmD with Specialty in Oncology strongly preferred 10+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry 5+ years in oncology Exceptional leadership skills, able to lead multi-level organization and influence in 360 degrees Strong oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Scientific/translational research background and ability to understand, interpret, and communicate scientific literature Management and leadership skills, with ability to lead matrixed, cross-functional work teams Ability to partner cross culturally/regionally In-depth understanding and experience with study methodology, protocol design, safety evaluation, and data analysis Ability to evaluate budget requests Strong people leadership and experience in management of medical organizations Proven success leading an Oncology medical affairs organization Expert in oncology market dynamics, current treatment landscape across multiple tumor areas and immuno-oncology Knowledge of clinical trial design and execution Strong relationships with current oncology KOLs and key customers Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Oncology Medical Affairs, with a strong focus on strategy development, leadership, and collaboration across multi-functional teams.
