Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our rehabilitation facility, where you will have the opportunity to engage closely with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. You will enjoy a full caseload while minimizing administrative burdens, allowing more time for direct patient care. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies that enhance recovery processes and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of assigned patients, selecting appropriate assessment tools and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Perform accurate documentation of each evaluation and treatment session in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with established standards of care as well as documenting all billing charges accurately.
• Execute screenings for appropriate patients to identify needs such as lymphedema management, fall risk assessment, and rehabilitation requirements.
• Plan and implement specific treatment programs based on the best practices in physical therapy, focusing on restoring function, improving mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing the onset of long-term disabilities.
• Provide care to a diverse caseload, engaging with both inpatient and outpatient populations while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to address the comprehensive needs of patients.
• Contribute to the advancement of clinical practices through participation in presentations and departmental educational initiatives, and mentor students or interns as their supervising therapist.

Your expertise will be crucial in developing innovative treatment strategies that cater to patients struggling with physical limitations due to injuries, chronic illnesses, or neurodevelopmental conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active and valid Florida Physical Therapist license recognized by the state board.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care hospital setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to engage effectively with pediatric patients and adapt treatments accordingly.
• Knowledge of hospital medicine practices with experience providing inpatient care in both clinical and hospital environments.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within a rehabilitation facility, particularly with a focus on both inpatient and outpatient care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and clinical documentation requirements.
• Skills in interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance patient care quality through teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for the position ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
