Job Description Job Description Grocery Distributor seeking Logistics Dispatchers ***Apply now, start same week!*** With potential growth Schedule: Start time is 3:00 AM. Candidates must be flexible and available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. The client is looking for a reliable candidate who is open to working Saturdays and Sundays and willing to work up to 6 days per week during busy periods. Responsibilities Assign contracted carriers to shipments under the direction of the Logistics Manager Follow carrier routing and load tendering instructions for truckload (FTL) shipments; handle less than truckload (LTL) as needed Maintain direct communication with carrier dispatch and drivers to coordinate shipment inquiries and status updates Confirm and process orders and bills of lading with accurate rates and information Use best judgment to manage last-minute shipment requests in the absence of the Logistics Manager Scan, file, and log daily paperwork; maintain detailed shipment records for brokerage purposes Send paperwork to the command center/back office to ensure timely carrier payments and shipper invoicing Provide timely communication to customers and internal personnel about shipment status Serve as point of contact for carrier dispatch departments, offering customer service and scheduling carrier pickups Document daily shipment details such as arrival, loading, and shipping times Create, update, and close out entries in the transportation management system Troubleshoot shipment issues and escalate to management as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must have 2 years of experience related to traffic management Working knowledge of DOT regulations related to brokering, shipping, and receiving freight Complete knowledge of transportation documentation Ability to follow written instructions, communicate clearly, and write effectively at all levels Above average math comprehension and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Some college education preferred Experience brokering freight, ideally with a current customer base Brokerage, freight forwarding, and 3PL training preferred Familiarity with TruckMate, PC Miler, or other transportation management systems 2+ years of traffic management experience Company Description Epic Personnel Partners, LLC is a privately held woman-owned staffing firm.
