Position Details Job Code: JC-521480 | Position #: 808-410-4588-081 (Multiple Positions) | Working Title: Travel & Support Claims Analyst | Classification: Associate Accounting Analyst | Salary Range: $6,330.00 – $7,929.00 A | Location: Sacramento County | Telework: Hybrid | Job Type: Permanent, Full Time About this Role As a highly valued member of the Support Payables Unit in the Financial Management Division, the Associate Accounting Analyst will lead, independently perform, and analyze the more difficult duties required for maintaining the accounting and budgetary records. The role requires an in‑depth knowledge of the State’s accounting system and a good working knowledge of professional accounting practices and procedures. It also requires the ability to lead and make analytical decisions and recommendations regarding accounting practices and principles used in state government, and to work effectively with FI$Cal and CalATERS Global. Responsibilities

• Lead and perform challenging accounting analyses and record keeping.
• Provide recommendations on accounting practices and principles within state government.
• Work with FI$Cal and CalATERS Global to maintain accurate financial information.

Minimum Qualifications In‑depth knowledge of the State’s accounting system. Good working knowledge of professional accounting practices and procedures. Ability to lead and make analytical decisions and recommendations regarding accounting practices and principles utilized in state government. Experience working with FI$Cal and CalATERS Global. Desirable Qualifications Strong analytical, interpersonal, writing and communication skills. Ability to multi‑task, provide detailed analysis, and complete staff work timely. Ability to plan, organize, establish work priorities, and assure adherence to policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and collaborate in a team environment. Effective communication with contacts throughout the Department.
