Associate Director - Lab Operations

IQVIA seeks an Associate Director of Lab Operations to lead laboratory teams in a regulated clinical testing environment. The role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance, driving operational efficiency, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across laboratory functions.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily laboratory team activities through delegation, training, and supervision
• Recruit, train, develop, and manage laboratory staff performance
• Plan and assign workloads, projects, and operational resources to meet departmental objectives
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support budget planning for consumables and staffing
• Ensure regulatory compliance and resolve operational, quality, and safety challenges across departments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in relevant field
• More than 8 years of experience in a regulated environment
• 5 years of line management experience
• In-depth knowledge of clinical testing procedures and laboratory regulations
• Strong technical understanding of laboratory operations and testing methods
• Working knowledge of quality assurance, CAPA, root cause analysis, and occupational safety
• Applicable certifications and licenses as required by local regulations

Compensation: $92,200–$213,900 base
