Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing/RF Engineering or related field with 3+ years of related professional experience; or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field with 1+ years of related professional experienceProject management or leadership experienceWillingness and ability to travel extensively (50+ days per year) at times to manufacturing and test facility in California is requiredStrong communication, organizational, planning, and time management skillsExperience with a CAD softwareDesired SkillsExperience with composite layupsExperience with structural design and/or stress analysisExperience with different manufacturing methods including 3D printingAircraft production support, processes, and coating experienceCreative problem solving skillsExperience with integrating materials, components, and/or technologies onto air vehicle platformsExperience with using CATIA or similar CAD software for part design, assembly, and drawing experienceExperience with coatings, integration, application, standards, methods, and testingExperience with RF or LO range testingExperience with RF / LO materials and RF / LO material testing, measurements, and integration onto physical platformsExperience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
