Shift: PT EOW Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents in our long-term care facility. The RN oversees daily clinical operations, assesses resident conditions, implements care plans, and supervises nursing staff, including LPNs and CNAs. This role plays a vital part in promoting resident well-being, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a compassionate care environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and respond to changes in health status. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions. Supervise and delegate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff. Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care. Document care accurately and timely in accordance with state, federal, and facility requirements. Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations. Participate in quality assurance initiatives, audits, and regulatory surveys. Educate residents and families regarding care plans, health conditions, and treatment options. Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations. Serve as a role model for professionalism, accountability, and resident-centered care. Qualifications Active RN license in the state of employment. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Current CPR/BLS certification required. Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred.
