Excellent leadership Growth organization Good benefits Flexible hours Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including managing a team of accountants and ensuring all financial tasks are completed accurately and on time. Coordinate and execute end-of-month closing processes, ensuring all financial reports are accurate and completed within deadlines. Conduct thorough GL reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Assist with the planning and execution of the annual budget, including forecasting and analyzing financial trends. Manage all aspects of grant accounting, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Provide strategic financial advice to senior management, using your expertise to inform decision-making processes. Continually review and improve accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in the Accounting + Finance industry. Proven experience with financial reporting, GL reconciliations, end-of-month closing processes, annual budget planning, and grant accounting. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines. High level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding company values and ethical standards.
