Radiation Therapist - Travel Job

Join a fast-paced hospital team in Albany, NY where your expertise as a Radiation Therapist will directly impact patients. Minimum Qualifications


• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program (Associate or Bachelor degree).


• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.


• Valid New York State Radiation Therapist license. Candidates may obtain the NY license during onboarding, but licensure is required.


• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist.


• Experience operating Varian TrueBeam and Varian 21iX equipment or equivalent linear accelerators.


• Ability to accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in an electronic medical record and to interpret computerized treatment plans.


• Knowledge of NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications


• Prior experience in an academic or tertiary hospital setting.


• Experience with complex treatment setups and problem solving for technical issues.

• Shift Hours: 07:30 - 16:00.

Impacting Patient Care


The Radiation Therapist administers prescribed radiation treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist and in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations. Responsibilities include accurate treatment setup and delivery, patient monitoring for adverse reactions, timely documentation, and communication with the oncology team. The therapist maintains equipment safety, follows established protocols, and supports patient welfare throughout treatment.
