IT Business Operations Consultant IT Finance

Salary: $102,000 - 142,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 8 years of experience using Microsoft Excel.
• We require 5 years of experience building pivot tables from scratch.
• We require at least 2 years of financial experience in the IT industry.
• We require the ability to work Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.
• We require advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and MS Query.
• We require experience using SharePoint, financial management systems, and AI tools such as Copilot in a financial environment.
• We require a bachelors degree in Business Administration, CIS, Mathematics, or a related field, or 2 years of experience in business operations, IT consulting, business analysis, or a related field.

• We provide financial, operational, and strategic support for large technology programs and portfolios.
• We partner with program leadership, product teams, IT Finance, and business stakeholders to build budgets, forecasts, resource plans, cost models, and financial analyses.
• We handle financial reporting and reconciliation, LOE estimates, funding requests, variance analysis, headcount and vendor financial management, executive reporting, business case development, and long-range planning.
• We research and summarize information needed to forecast future technical and operational information needs.
• We support senior team members with recommendations on business and technology strategy based on stakeholder input.
• We help execute business and technology plans to support strategic alignment.
• We assist with information systems needs in assigned project areas.
• We support technology and business process integration plans and related implementation work.
• We provide information on business systems, data, process initiatives, and vendors to senior team members.
• We carry out systems and business process activities under the direction of more senior team members.
• We support cross-functional management with information on business and technology issues.
• We assist with inter- and intra-departmental systems integration activities.
• We help ensure technology or process owners have access to the information and training needed for effective operations.
• We support the creation, preparation, and use of reports to track operational performance across functions, areas, or vendors.
• We track, maintain, and report performance metrics such as data quality, customer measures, and financials.
• We assist senior team members in reviewing performance metrics and outcomes.
• We perform data analysis to help evaluate cost-effective operational solutions.
• We assist with research on technology and business initiatives.
• We support data quality improvement and training programs.
• We identify issues in technology and business solutions to help with root cause analysis.
• We build our understanding of healthcare technology and information systems trends.
• We align technologies, data, and metrics with our vision, goals, and objectives.
• We support initiatives aligned with national efforts.
• We prepare source documents related to IT processes, tools, and best practices.
• We consult with departments, IT managers, and vendors on security, compliance, infrastructure, network, and application controls.
• We support business continuity and resiliency procedures and infrastructure processes.
• We participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional task forces to define and document functional requirements, workflows, information sources, and system specifications.
• We update and maintain a knowledge repository of current technology and business processes for the assigned area.

We are offering a hybrid/flexible role based in Greensboro, NC, with time in the office required. This is an individual contributor position where, under the guidance of more senior team members, we analyze information tied to future technical and operational needs and help execute business and technology plans that align with business unit and national or regional strategies. We also support management with information on business systems, data and process initiatives, technology issues, systems integration, and business process activities.
