A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals.The Project Engineer supports the design and development of products and product improvements for Flex-N-Gate and its divisions. The role is an integral part of the engineering team that leads projects from initial design concept through development and commercialization.Responsibilities:Prepare monthly/yearly budgetAbility to utilize CAD and CAM software and Microsoft AccessUnderstand Bill of MaterialsKnowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology, including principals, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of various goodsKnowledge of mechanical and design toolsKnowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs for maximizing manufacturingTroubleshootingCoordinate safety or regulatory compliance activitiesImplement design or process improvements as well as run rates.Help with floor layouts/cell designsWork with packaging engineer for initial prototype packagingEvaluates manufacturing processes, designs new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.Participates actively and effectively in continuous improvement plans related to position responsibilitiesImproves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Performs all other tasks as assigned by management.Conduct regular continuous improvement meetings with multiple departments. Document cost saving improvements for monthly review with senior management.Maintain manufacturing process documentation, Operator Work Instructions, Work Cycle Breakdown, Packaging Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams.Conduct cycle time studies for equipment run at rate.
