Services Technician Sr

About the role Services Technician Sr. You will perform installation, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on systems and communications equipment, including, but not limited to, hardware and peripherals; software configuration; voice, video and data cabling systems; and networks. You will service both internal Insight teammates and clients on site. Responsibilities Perform necessary hardware and peripheral repairs, identifying problems and determining the most efficient and cost‑effective way to resolve them while keeping customer downtime to a minimum. Install and test system hardware at customer sites, setting up hardware, testing performance, identifying problems, and following any special instructions. Complete all required documentation involved in a service call to ensure accurate billing and timely return of defective products/parts according to warranty or contract, including vendor paperwork. Identify system hardware problems and determine the most efficient and cost‑effective way of resolving them. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four‑year college or university or 3‑4 years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with LANs, WANs, personal computers, messaging and server software applications. Experience with cable plants, network services, email, bulletin boards, and CD‑ROM libraries.
