HVAC Truck Based Sr Controls Service Technician

Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface. Mentor control, service and mechanical technicians on building automation activities. Complete required project and service documentation. Provide customers with solutions to building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering solutions and outcomes at the time of service. How you will do it Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions, testing and writing modifications in multiple languages of systems software. Consult with the customer through data gathered and site assessments. Provide field proposals for retrofits, upgrades or enhancements to existing equipment. Assist sales with technical recommendations for sales leads. Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction. Report problems or changes to management immediately. Interface with branch manager, service manager, project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required. Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections. Assist with job layouts and bid proposals. Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Keep customers informed on service provided, outstanding issues and recommend system enhancements, upgrades and replacements. Promote sale of add‑on work. Adhere to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, providing safety leadership and instruction to all control technicians. Train customers in control system operations, delivering manuals and documentation. Provide mentorship for certification of Controls and Service Technicians on complex building automation systems. Coach, support and train the technical workforce on non‑complex, non‑critical equipment. Compile job documentation such as certificates of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists. Conduct extensive self‑study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company product lines and complete required certifications. What we look for Dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system troubleshooting, repair and aftermarket services. Minimum of 3+ years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry, including buildings, chiller plants and systems. Vocational school program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems. Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment. Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites. Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical people. Demonstrate effective writing skills as well as understanding of programs and software applications. Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems. Salary & Benefits HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26‑35 per hour.
