- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, breads, pies, tarts, mousses, creams, custards, and other baked goods.
- Follow standardized recipes and production procedures accurately.
- Measure and scale ingredients correctly using appropriate weights and measurements.
- Prepare batters, doughs, fillings, creams, sauces, and other pastry components.
- Assist with decorating and finishing cakes, pastries, and plated desserts.
- Maintain consistency in portion size, flavor, texture, appearance, and presentation.
- Assist with the preparation of seasonal and specialty desserts.
- Prepare desserts and pastry items for daily service, banquets, weddings, receptions, and special events.
- Complete assigned prep lists and production schedules in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized and efficient pastry workstation.
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store all food products.
- Monitor product levels and communicate replenishment needs to the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
- Assist with inventory and product organization.
- Minimize waste through proper preparation, storage, portioning, and utilization of ingredients.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report problems promptly.
