The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations of the company while ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective cash management.

How You'll Do It

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and key financial analyses.
• Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash management functions.
• Monitor project profitability, job costing, and work-in-progress reporting.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that support compliance and operational excellence.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.
• Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, technology, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships across departments to support company objectives and informed decision-making.

Skills and Experience You Offer

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• CPA designation preferred, but not required.
• Experience in construction, landscaping, manufacturing, contracting, or other project-based industries strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, and work-in-progress reporting is highly desirable.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement.
