Overview

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group on the Med Surg unit, following established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor progress, and document outcomes; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; delegate appropriately and ensure safe, efficient care delivery.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other health professionals; participate in discharge planning and patient education for families.
- Promote a safe and healing environment, maintain compliance with infection control and quality standards, and participate in ongoing performance improvement efforts.

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) or equivalent (required)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care/Med Surg experience
- BSN: preferred but not required
- Ability to work as a travel nurse in a hospital setting and on a 3x12-hour night schedule
