Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract role offers you the chance to work closely with a team of professionals—primarily those specializing in DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) education and dedicated classroom support staff—making a real impact every day.
Assignments and caseloads will be tailored to your strengths and preferences, ensuring you are placed in a role where you can thrive and contribute effectively. With up to five positions available, there is flexibility for interpreters who bring both experience and passion for working in school settings.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter
- Previous experience interpreting in educational environments preferred
- Familiarity with DHH support methodologies is a plus
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards
- Ability to adapt to various classroom settings and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation for students, staff, and classroom activities
- Collaborate with DHH specialists and other classroom professionals
- Support individualized educational plans and communication access
- Foster inclusive, accessible learning environments
- Adjust approach based on specific student caseload, as assigned
Contract details include a projected assignment period between late August 2026 and mid-July 2027, with placements determined by school needs and your preferences—simply share your desired caseload and home zip code for optimal placement.
