Tania Casini is a custom fashion atelier in Rochester, NY specializing in custom bridal gowns, prom dresses, suits, formalwear, and high-level alterations. We are looking for an experienced, expert-level seamstress or tailor to join our team full-time.

This position requires someone who is highly skilled, fast, precise, and confident working independently. Our garments are often intricate and custom-made for once-in-a-lifetime events, so exceptional workmanship and attention to detail are extremely important.

Responsibilities and qualifications:

Expert-level sewing and garment construction experience

Highly experienced using industrial sewing machines and professional sewing equipment

Experience sewing and altering bridal gowns, formal gowns, prom dresses, suits, jackets, pants, and other tailored garments

Comfortable working with delicate, beaded, crystal, lace, mesh, satin, and specialty fabrics

Strong knowledge of alterations, fittings, garment construction, and professional finishing techniques

Ability to work accurately and efficiently at a fast production pace

Must be comfortable with a high-volume workload during our busy prom and wedding seasons

Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce clean, professional-quality work

Ability to work independently and problem-solve

Professional sewing experience is required; this is not an entry-level position

Our business is seasonal, and during our busiest months we produce and alter a large number of custom garments with firm event deadlines. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of both speed and exceptional quality and takes pride in their craftsmanship.
