Our organization is in search of an academic and clinical faculty member for the Department of Osteopathic Family and Community Medicine. This role will involve dedicating 0.2 FTE to teaching clinical skills, delivering lectures, assisting with standardized patient assessments, grading, and participating in clinical clerkship rotations. Candidates must hold board certification from either AOA or ABMS in their specialty.

• Engage in curricular development and participate in faculty retreats.

• Design, implement, and evaluate the curriculum as a faculty member in pre-clinical courses.

• Deliver clinical lectures, including the creation of relevant learning objectives and exam questions.

• Contribute to the comprehensive 4-year teaching program at our institution, which includes OMM labs, physical examination labs, SOAP note evaluations, OSCEs, and workshops on OMM and ultrasound, in line with your training.

• Assist in creating standardized patient scenarios for examinations as needed.

• Proctor and score Osteopathic Standardized Patient Examinations upon request.

• Support students who need remediation for OSCE examinations or require help preparing for COMLEX-USA exams.

• Actively participate in scholarly endeavors related to your expertise, including osteopathic research, quality improvement initiatives, invited presentations at state and national conferences, publications, poster presentations, peer reviews, and writing national board questions.

• Serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) for students and residents involved in scholarly projects.

• Provide mentorship to students needing academic support and offer career guidance.

• Attend mandatory meetings and serve on assigned committees, which may include those for the University, the Department of Clinical Education, the Department of Osteopathic Family & Community Medicine, the ONMM residency, and the Multispecialty Clinic.

• Act as an advisor to student organizations as requested.

• Participate in interviews for prospective AZCOM applicants.

• Maintain current board certification in your specialty area.

• Must be board certified or eligible for certification by AOA or ABMS.
