Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall function.
• Direct and manage physical therapy treatment programs, incorporating preventative measures to help minimize the risk of disability and improve quality of life.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in implementing care strategies, ensuring they maintain compliance with established treatment protocols.
• Utilize diagnostic tests to evaluate muscle, nerve, and joint functions, accurately recording and reporting findings to adjust care plans as required.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams during case conferences, contributing to a holistic approach in patient care and therapy planning.
• Prepare and maintain precise clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries that reflect patient responses to therapy.
• Instruct patients and their families in rehabilitation exercises, therapeutic devices, and self-care strategies within the home environment to foster independence.
• Continuously monitor patients' conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on observed clinical progress and communicating any changes to the attending physician.
• Participate actively in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, embracing a culture of lifelong learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to serve a varied outpatient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, those with chronic pain, sports-related injuries, and patients desiring to improve their physical function and mobility. You will tailor therapies and exercises to fit individual needs, making a significant impact on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a physical therapist is essential, preferably in an outpatient or home healthcare setting.
• Current Physical Therapist licensure in good standing for the State of Florida.
• Certification in CPR is mandatory.
• A strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences and clinical excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
