Pay Rate: $30-36 (commensurate with experience) Shift differential: $1.00We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with advanced PLC and controls expertise to support our state-of-the-art Bubble and Foam Extrusion Plant. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive troubleshooting abilities across electrical systems, mechanical processes, and pneumatic/hydraulic components. This role requires a safety-focused professional who can maintain critical manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial extrusion equipment while adhering to safety protocols, quality standards, and production requirementsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex PLC systems, electrical circuits, and control panels in a manufacturing settingCalibrate instrumentation and conduct preventative maintenance inspections on production machineryInstall new equipment and implement modifications to existing manufacturing systemsRebuild critical equipment components, including hydraulic systems, pneumatic devices, and mechanical assembliesMaintain facility infrastructure and grounds to ensure optimal operational conditionsTake ownership of assigned equipment condition and performance metricsDocument maintenance activities and prepare detailed technical reports with improvement recommendationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and plant-wide goalsRespond to after-hours maintenance emergencies during assigned on-call weekendsQualifications Requirements2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related technical field.Demonstrated expertise with Allen-Bradley PLC systems, HMI interfaces, and industrial control systems.Strong electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.Practical experience in maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Working knowledge of bulk material handling equipment (loaders, hoppers, vacuum systems).High school diploma or equivalent.Two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications.Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use precision measurement tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Fabrication skills: Welding, Milding, etcPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience in plastic extrusion, foam manufacturing, or similar industrial processes.Millwork, machine shop, and welding capabilities (MIG/TIG).Familiarity with SAP maintenance modules or similar ERP systems.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.NFPA 70E electrical safety certification.Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo motors.Background in industrial automation and robotics.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.Capable of frequently lifting up to 40 pounds.Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled industrial settings.Able to safely climb ladders and stairs to access equipment at various heights.Manual dexterity to operate hand and power tools with precision.Benefits and Perks401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountsFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid elder carePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insurance
