Clinical Role

Seeking a Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon for locums coverage in Longview, Washington. The provider will cover an inpatient acute care surgery service, including call, rounding, admissions, and Level III trauma procedures.

Schedule & Coverage

• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Current Approval Through: October 31, 2026
• Orientation: First day reserved for orientation tasks
• Coverage Need: 0.5 FTE
• Shift Options: 12-hour call shifts, 7:00 am-7:00 pm or 7:00 pm-7:00 am; 24-hour call shifts also available
• Weekday Call: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-7:00 pm is restricted in-house call
• Weekends/Holidays: 12- or 24-hour unrestricted call
• Unrestricted Call Response: 10-minute phone response required and provider must remain within 30 minutes of the facility

Practice Setting & Clinical Responsibilities

• Setting: Inpatient acute care surgery
• Responsibilities: Call coverage, rounding, and admissions
• Trauma: Level III trauma coverage
• Procedures: Level III trauma procedures
• Patient Volume: Variable

Support & Practice Model

• Provider works independently during nights and weekends
• Surgical PA support available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Requirements & Systems

• Specialty: General Surgery/Acute Care Surgery
• Licensure: Active Washington license required
• Certification: ACLS required
• EMR: Epic; proficiency required
