Display/Delivery AssistantOur Display Delivery Assistants are responsible for the setup of merchandise in Havertys Showrooms. As a Display Delivery Assistant, you will also have the opportunity to furnish happiness for our customers by riding along with delivery drivers and assisting with furniture deliveries to customers' homes. Pay: Starting at $15.50 hourly Schedule: Flexible as required to go on delivery truck when needed. Generally Tuesday-Saturday 8:30-5:00This is your Opportunity to:Keep merchandise on the floor in functional condition, including by ordering parts and repairing when necessary.Support the moving and arranging of merchandise on the showroom floor.Provide support on deliveries to customers' homes.Perform the necessary functions in a safe and professional manner, by unloading furniture from trucks and placing it within the customer's home.Help Display Coordinator with floor moves and processing of new accessories.Assist Display Coordinator by aiming lighting on furniture and/or accessories.Be responsible for placement of POP material including hanging banners and placing signs.Assist customers in carrying merchandise to their vehicles.Help keep the showroom clean by providing light housekeeping support as needed.Maintain stockroom in an orderly fashion, including sweeping and mopping.Keep exits lit and free of obstruction.Assist in maintenance of the grounds.We Offer:Paid comprehensive training.Flexibility to draw pay between pay cycles with our Daily Pay Program.401K program with a company match of 4%.Generous benefits package with premier medical, dental, and vision partners.Paid time-off includes vacation, sick time, personal days, company holidays.Ability to advance within the company if desired.Opportunities to give back to the community.Substantial associate discount on our quality merchandise.Bonus program for Team Member Referrals.Educational financial assistance.Complimentary health and wellness program.Job Requirements Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDExperience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles preferredPhysical ability to lift and move up to 150 poundsStrong customer service and communication skillsAttention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work well in a team environment and assist on the delivery truck as requiredProblem-solving skills for minor repairs and part ordersKnowledge of safety protocolsFlexibility to work varied schedules, including weekendsAbility to pass a drug screen and background checkValid driver's licenseWork Environment:Schedule must be flexible as required to go on delivery truck when needed. Generally Tuesday-Saturday 8:30-5:00 Employees must adhere to Havertys' dress code, which includes wearing uniforms and maintaining a professional appearance. Steel-toe boots that extend above the ankle are required while on the truck, with lace-up style boots being recommended.
