Join more than 400 team members collaborating on the two-building campus to help put breakfast on the tables of millions of consumers in North America.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Accountant at Post Consumer Brands, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information that supports business decisions across the organization. This position partners closely with operations, finance, tax, internal audit, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accounting activities are completed with integrity, precision, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.Working in a fast-paced consumer products and manufacturing environment, you will independently manage complex accounting activities, strengthen internal controls, drive process improvements, and help build scalable accounting operations that support continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules.Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies by understanding underlying business activity and system transactions.Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to complex accounting matters and develop well-supported accounting recommendations.Partner with operations, plant teams, finance, tax, and internal audit to evaluate accounting and reporting implications of business activities.Maintain the integrity of balance sheet and income statement accounts through timely reconciliation and resolution of reconciling items.Prepare documentation supporting accounting conclusions, estimates, judgments, and nonroutine transactions.Execute and strengthen Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through effective control execution, documentation, and continuous improvement.Support audit and tax requirements by preparing requested information and collaborating with internal and external auditors.Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and simplify accounting processes while maintaining strong internal controls.Contribute to system implementations, integrations, and other cross-functional initiatives that support organizational growth.Why You'll Love This RoleMake a visible impact on financial reporting and business decision-making across a leading consumer brands organization.Partner with diverse teams across manufacturing, operations, finance, tax, and audit functions.Apply professional judgment and technical accounting expertise to meaningful business challenges.Help shape scalable processes and leverage technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency and productivity.Enjoy the best of big company opportunity and small company attitude in a collaborative, people-focused culture.QualificationsLocation RequirementsThis hybrid role is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Lakeville, Minnesota, with three days onsite and two days remote each week.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA certification.Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience researching and applying accounting guidance.Experience with financial close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and audit support.Demonstrated ability to independently resolve accounting matters and exercise sound professional judgment.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and large data set analysis.Ability to organize, document, and communicate accounting conclusions clearly.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with JD Edwards or another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.Experience in a manufacturing, consumer products, or multi-location business environment.Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements and internal control testing.Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, or process transformation initiatives.Experience using reporting, reconciliation, workflow, or data analytics tools.Success in This RoleStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills across functions.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Ability to balance attention to detail with business perspective.Adaptability and continuous improvement mindset.Ready to Make an Impact?If you are a CPA with a passion for accounting excellence, continuous improvement, and partnering with the business to drive results, we encourage you to apply and discover how your career can grow at Post Consumer Brands.The pay range for this position is $72,498 - $101,497 per year.
