Patient Care Coordinator

Urology Specialists of Austin is pleased to announce an opening for a highly motivated and skilled full-time Patient Care Coordinator at our bustling Lakeline office. This integral position offers a stable and consistent work schedule, operating Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a healthy work-life balance with no evening or weekend commitments. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is eager to contribute to a supportive healthcare environment and make a meaningful impact on our patients' experience. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments, managing provider calendars efficiently. Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary forms and documents (IDs, insurance cards) are accurately completed and scanned into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Verify patient insurance information, explain coverage, and collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow and communicate any service delays. Maintain a tidy, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area. Manage office inventory and supplies, placing orders as needed. Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office, customer service, or a related administrative role is preferred. Proficiency in using EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing procedures is an asset. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to be empathetic, patient, and calm in a fast-paced or stressful environment. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
