Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS Preferred Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS or PALS Preferred Description: We are seeking a dedicated registered nurse for our medical-surgical unit. The unit consists of 16 beds and is staffed by 20 professionals. Day shift has a charge nurse and 1-2 other RNs, while night shift has a point person and 1-2 other RNs. There is support from 1 LPN and 1 PCT each shift if patient capacity is at 15/16. Documentation is handled using EMR - Meditech. Scheduling requires 3 twelve-hour shifts with rotating weekends every three weeks. Floating policy includes any medical floor as needed. Preferred experience includes knowledge in rehabilitation documentation. The unit manages post-stroke patients, surgical patients (neuro or ortho), and medical patients needing increased therapy. While CRRN certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. The dress code consists of royal blue top and bottom scrubs, and or black scrub bottoms. This is an award-winning unit, recognized as a Unit of Distinction for 2021. The staff has extensive experience, with an average tenure of around 20 years. Leadership is highly engaged, and resources for inpatient rehabilitation services are abundant. A positive team atmosphere is fostered on this unit.
