USMA Operations Manager

AstraZeneca seeks a Strategic Operations Manager for US Medical Affairs to provide operational leadership across oncology initiatives, manage a Canada-based team, and drive execution of medical affairs priorities in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate SPMD operational priorities, planning cycles, decisions, and executive communications
Lead assigned cross-franchise or cross-functional medical affairs initiatives
Manage Business Specialist team objectives, performance, development, and recruitment
Assess resource demand and capacity; deploy support aligned with business priorities
Define service standards, templates, and escalation procedures for consistent execution

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, science, healthcare, or related discipline
2+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare operations experience
Demonstrated people leadership and performance management capabilities
Experience leading complex projects or programs in matrixed environments
Strong planning, financial management, and executive communication skills
Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft 365, and AI applications
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and prioritize competing demands

Compensation: $125,000–$187,700 base annually
