Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Telemetry unit. This position is critical for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and those recovering from heart catheterization procedures.

Schedule

  • Shift: 1900 - 0730 (3x12 hour shifts)
  • Weekend coverage: Every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs
  • Floating to other similar units may be required

Patient Diagnoses

  • Higher oxygen demands
  • Dialysis patients
  • Atrial fibrillation (afib)
  • Post-heart catheterization care

Special Procedures

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patients who are stepping down from ICU. Please note that this unit does not manage ventilated patients or provide pressor support. Registered Nurses will administer the following drips:

  • Heparin
  • Cardizem
  • Amiodarone
  • Sotalol initiation
  • Telemetry monitoring

Qualifications

  • Active TN Registered Nurse license
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • NIHSS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of EPIC experience

This opportunity is ideal for registered nurses seeking a contract from 13 to 26 weeks. The unit welcomes first-time travelers with relevant experience.
