Job Description
The Affordable Housing Acquisition Associate plays a critical role in identifying and securing properties that support affordable housing initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, build relationships with stakeholders, and coordinate the acquisition process to expand affordable housing portfolios effectively.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential properties suitable for affordable housing development or preservation
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to support acquisition decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with property owners, brokers, and community stakeholders
- Coordinate due diligence activities including property inspections, environmental reviews, and title research
- Negotiate purchase agreements and facilitate the acquisition process
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and development teams to ensure timely closings
- Track acquisition pipelines and report progress to senior management
