As an intern/co-op with Cleveland-Cliffs, you will build life-long professional connections and have the opportunity to be considered for future full-time employment.As a Human Resources Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern’s education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below.Summary of Responsibilities:Recruitment, employment, job postings and employee transfersNew employee orientation and trainingAdministration of human resources policies and programsAdministration of employee compensation, benefits, relocation, and immigration programsCoordination/facilitation of performance review process for client departmentsPrepare, maintain, and retrieve applicant and employee recordsCollect, analyze, and report data and informationPrepare, review, and process documents, including reports, memos, letters, spreadsheets, and presentationsVarious other duties as needed to support the businessMinimum Qualifications:Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or another business-related degreeCompletion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products, particularly for the automotive industry.
